A series of advertising solutions, two custom logos and font for a new internal corporate culture code, and layouts for a new website for Northern Contours Inc.

Challenge

The goal was to develop a series of advertising solutions and layouts for a new website in conjunction with the marketing team at a national kitchen & bath, surfaces, and cabinetry company.

A second goal goal was to create a logo for a new culture code to be used on company t-shirts and presentations based on the phrase “All In”. The “All In” logo needed to break away from the existing design style of the company. The third goal was to create a logo to celebrate the company’s 25th anniversary.

Solution

The final solutions were all developed in collaboration with the in-house marketing team.

The final advertisements were based on existing elements of the product images, including the colors, shapes and spacing. My role for these pieces was to take an initial idea from the marketing team, based on the company’s vision, and incorporate design improvements, with many edits and revisions along the way.

The final website solution was based on the company’s existing minimalistic design style using mostly grey tones to compliment the colorful images. It also directs the viewer to the most important content using an easy-to-navigate system.

The final “All In” logo was based on the phrase of being “all in the same boat”. My role initially was to just design a logo. Eventually I used the letterforms to create a typeface, which I then integrated into the three “In” words shown on the back of the shirt.
