Challenge

The goal was to create a gender-neutral birthday card that could be sent by a number of financial advisors to their clients. The design should also distinguish itself from the existing brand standards of RBC Wealth Management.

Solution

I had several ideas for this challenge but ended up settling on the hot air balloon in the clouds. I went through many different stages of edits and revisions working with the creative team of RBC Wealth Management. The final solution combines geometric elements for the balloons with contrasting photo realistic clouds and a whimsical typeface. The design gives the viewer an interesting perspective as if they were looking up from the ground.
