Challenge

The goal was to create a type specimen poster that is inspired by Paul Renner and the the typeface he created, Futura.

Solution

The final solution was based on his idea that “Form follows function” and “Reasoning constrained all the character shapes to their most simplistic form.” This led Renner to base his letterforms on perfect shapes. The final design is also modern and inspired by the Bauhaus movement.
